Loved seeing Kylie Jenner make her Victoria’s Secret runway debut in Los Angeles. Having had the pleasure of working with Kylie many times over the years on different launches, it’s always exciting to see her step into another major moment. Congratulations, Kylie!
Now, back to the business of turning heads.
There’s something fashion and outdoor advertising have in common: the best executions don’t quietly blend into the background. They make an entrance. They create a mood. And they give people something to talk about.
Whether it’s a runway in LA or a spectacular billboard in NYC, the creative challenge is surprisingly similar. You have a moment to capture someone’s attention, and what you do with that moment matters.
The image. The setting. The scale. The timing. Everything should work together to make the brand feel unmistakably present.
The Show Before the Show
Long before the first Angel stepped onto the runway, the anticipation was already building, and a big part of that buzz was happening on the street.
In the weeks leading up to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026, well placed out of home advertising helped set the stage across the USA and Canada, and even overseas. Bold digital screens and building sized wallscapes carried one simple, confident message: the date, the time, and “Live from Los Angeles.” Soft pink, black and white imagery, and those unmistakable wings. No clutter. No over explaining. Just a brand that knew exactly who it was.
That’s the magic of great OOH. It doesn’t just announce an event, it turns the countdown into part of the experience. Every screen and every wall becomes a reminder that something big is coming, and that you won’t want to miss it.
To be clear, this wasn’t our campaign. But we’ll happily admit to a serious case of FOMOOH. 💗 Hats off to the team who placed this one. It’s a beautiful example of how the right message, in the right locations, at the right scale, can build excitement well before the curtain goes up.
From the Catwalk to the City
A runway gives a brand a stage. Great out of home advertising makes the city its stage.
A striking visual above a busy avenue. A digital takeover that changes the energy of a block. A projection that transforms a familiar building into something unexpected. Different formats, same ambition: make people look up, lean in, and remember who made them stop.
At Forty North Media, that’s the kind of presence we’re interested in creating. Not simply putting a logo somewhere large, but finding the right combination of location, creative, and scale to give a brand its moment.
Sometimes that calls for a bold, beautifully simple billboard. Sometimes it calls for something a little more unexpected. Either way, the execution should feel intentional, and impossible to confuse with everything around it.
Make an Entrance. Own the Moment.
We may not hand out angel wings, but we do know a thing or two about making brands impossible to ignore.
For brands ready to step into the spotlight, the brief is simple: think beyond being seen. Give people something worth noticing.
Because visibility never goes out of style. 💋
